Yesterday we spent the evening as a family at the DSACO Zoo activity. Kaili is the only one who has been to out zoo so we were really excited. The only problem is that it was after hours so several of the exhibits were closed – including the lions, the only animal that Kaili requested to see, that we ran all over the zoo to find (they were in the Asia area but still labeled as African lions, go figure).
There were free carousal rides, food, and lots of visiting. We rode the carousal three times per Kaili’s request which I found funny because she would not ease her death grip on the pole.
We got to see a flamingo really close up. It was so cool. After dinner we went around the zoo some more and we were lucky to see several animals like the kangaroos and koalas actually moving around so it made up for not seeing the lions.

It was a lot of fun. I just hope that Kaili doesn’t grow tired of attending DS events as she gets older because there are plenty more to come.
