A Late Christmas

My family came to visit us the day after Christmas to help with taking care of Kaili and meals and to bring some Christmas cheer.  Luckily, Averi came home on the 27th, so we got to spend a lot of time all together.  It was tons of fun and required a lot of sanitizer and masks with names written on them.

Of course grandparents and Christmas time means opening more presents, so all 8 of us crowded around the Christmas tree sporting our masks - except for Averi.
We made the usual gingerbread house, which started pretty and then got ugly.  Apparently the 15 minutes required for the icing to set is really more like 5 hours.  The roof slid off as soon a we were done decorating it.
My brother,Seth, brought his new Kinect, so we 'evacuated the dance floor' almost every night.  Dan took some good videos, which won't be making it onto the blog. :)  Not to toot my own horn about how good I was at dancing...but HONK, HONK!

One night my Dad took all of us out to Thurman's Cafe (except for my mom who stayed home to watch Averi - Thank You!).  The burgers were the size of our heads, super messy, and the most delicious burgers I have ever eaten.  It was SO good!
It was so much fun having them all here to play games and celebrate the new year.  Hopefully this next year will be better than the last (not that that will be hard to do).
